Welcome To Courtney’s Bar, Home Of The Greatest Selection Of Drink In Killarney

Courtney's has been operating as a Public House since the late 1800s and remains in the ownership of Courtney family since that time. The classic and much photographed frontage is now protected whilst the bare wood interior retains the old world atmosphere of the traditional “Teach Tairbhne”

We're conveniently located in the heart of Killarney town on Plunkett Street, next to the taxis.

Whiskey of the Month

Powers Johns Lane

This is to our mind the best expression of Powers available on the market and a homage to its fine heritage. A single pot still incarnation of Powers , named for the now-defunct old Johns Lane distillery. This is a very classy whiskey made using a combination of bourbon and oloroso-sherry-cask-matured spirit.

Type: Single pot Still – Alcohol: 46% – Age: 12 Years Old
Country: Ireland – Cask: Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry

Beer of the Month

Notorious Red IPA

A Red IPA is a great way to celebrate craft beer and the brewers have not held back on this one. Packing an outrageous variety of malts and hops into our latest seasonal brew – they’re notorious!

Using 6 different types of speciality malt and 5 different hop varieties this Red IPA will show the uninitiated what craft beer is all about and remind the converted why they love it so much!

The malt backbone sets the tone perfectly with biscuit, caramel and light roast flavours, but the real star is the hop blend that provides a bittering bite with citrus, pine and floral notes that linger on the palate.

Perfect place to warm up with a pint near the fire. Courtney's has a huge selection of beers and ciders - definitely something for everyone.

Kathleen M - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Whenever I am in Killarney, I always stop off at Courtney's for a pint. In short, it is just a lovely spot .

If I lived in Killarney, this would be my pub -- small, rustic, great beer selection. I'd be a regular.

Dave - North Carolina

Great cozy bar where you can buy 3 small glasses of beer if you can't make up your mind, or 4 whiskeys the same way.
